John Robert White John Robert White, 85, of Charlottesville, died on Friday, September 10, 2010.

John is the son of the late John White and Doris Brewer White.

John is survived by his bride of 62 years, Anna Missner White; his two children, Mark White and his wife, Danise, and Lorna Walls and her husband, Darrell; six grandchildren, Tamra Pease and her husband, Christopher, Matthew Walls, Dustin Walls, Holly Renes and her husband, Bo, Chad White and his wife, Alyssa, and Rebecca White; six great-grandchildren, Drew Renes, Tristin Renes, Gabriel Renes, Josiah Renes, Nathaniel Walls and Liam White.

John served in the United States Navy during World War II as a radar technician. He later excelled in micrographics for 30 years. John was a Mason with the Fork Union lodge.

John was a lover of the outdoors and of fishing and was adored by all who knew him. He lived his life to the fullest with a smile on his face, even through his final hours. The bird man of Park View will be greatly missed.

Memorial donations in John's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

Per his request, John's family will be returning him to his beloved Redwood Forest in California.
