Karen Lindstrom Easton

Karen Lindstrom Easton, 57, of Ruckersville, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009, at her residence.

She was born March 2, 1952, in Helena, Montana, daughter of Rose Marie Lindstrom and the late Lloyd L. Lindstrom.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd L. Lindstrom; paternal grandparents, Oscar and Vera Lindstrom; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Martha Bogard.

She is survived by her mother, Rose Marie Lindstrom of Helena, Montana; two sons, Christopher George Easton and his wife, Jenna, of Barboursville, and Michael John Easton of Palmyra; one sister, Linda L. Lawson and her husband, Kyle, of Stanardsville; two grandchildren, Collier George Easton and Tessa Brooke Easton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Karen had resided in Greene County since 1986 and was employed as a store clerk for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Her proudest accomplishment was raising her two sons, Christopher and Michael.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009, at the Ryan Funeral Home with the Reverend Dan Carlton officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 302, Stanardsville, VA 22973.

Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
