I offer my condolences to the family and close friends of Ken. So long as there are those that knew and remember Ken are still around, he is still with us. I knew Ken as KC a very long time ago. I went to grade school, junior high and one year of high school with him. We were also in the same Cub Scout den. I am not surprised that he became a successful attorney and leader in Virginia society. Even as a young boy he was a persuasive leader. I remember him leading several endeavors, most of which were parentally sanctioned. One summer, he was instrumental in chartering a bus for a state fair trip from Madison to Milwaukee. He drafted his sister Bobbi as one of the chaperones. Good bye, KC; you will be remembered and missed.

Though many years have passed, I still have such fond memories of our time as neighbors in Roanoke and am so saddened by this news. We were fortunate to be blessed by Ken's abundant and inspiring presence-- and his integrity, wise counsel, and kind heart. His passionate advocacy and unwavering commitment and service to others are the legacy of a life well-lived. We are all profoundly diminished by his passing and share your loss. Dear Martha,
It's been years since we've seen you, but the memories of our childhood flood back as I remember the first time you brought KC across the road to meet us. It was obvious from the start that he was a very special young man. As I read the accomplishments of his life, his selfless devotion to his family and service to his community and his country, I realize that my first impression was "right on". Our deepest sympathy for your loss and may God be with you, Robert, Julie and your families as you go through the days ahead. With love,

To the dear wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends of Kenneth King, it is always sad to hear that "one of our own" has passed away. It seems that Mr. King had many "families" he belonged to for he was so involved with many great organizations. How beautiful his heart is to have served his family, our country, and our community well and I will certainly include all of you in prayers. Many blessings of peace and solitude in his memories he leaves with all of you.

Martha and family, Words can not express my shock at your loss. I have very fond memories of mom and dad talking about things your family did with them. One memory that is always in the back of my mind is when Ken flew dad, mom and my brother Kevin to Augusta Ga the night before I was to have emergency. I can never express how much that act of kindness meant to me and my family.
My thoughts are with you at this time. Once again I am sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,

Always the gentleman. I counted Mr. King as one of the sweetest, caring and giving persons I have ever known. I will miss him so much. His heart for community service was contagious. His smile made you smile. He worked tirelessly for the people who had no one. He would join your cause just to encourage you. The Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis committee will not be the same without him. You are in my thoughts and prayers. It is hard for me to picture life without him. He was a very special man.

With great sadness I read the news of Ken's passing. Being a part of his Senior Networking Group he always had a smile on his face and a kind word. He brought so much to so many that he will be missed more than any one person will ever know. He has left so many positive things in this world that his memory shall be everlasting. Sending my thoughts to his family during this trying time.

I am so sad to hear of the loss of Ken. He was a terrific member of the Life Care Planning Law firms association. I had the privilege of knowing him and attending numerous programs with him. Ken had an infectious enthusiasm for elder law and a zest for life. He will be sorely missed next week in Phoenix and I will miss sharing his spirit!

I wish I had the words to express to the entire King family how much Ken meant to me and my family over the years. He was my first boss at a real job and over the years offered guidance and inspiration in every aspect of our lives. He was a mentor and good friend to my husband, David, and we both know we wouldn't be the people we are if it weren't for Ken. Our deepest condolences to the entire King family as we share in their grief for we too have lost of member of our family. Blessings to you all.
