Lisa Balin Obituary
Lisa Falls Balin, 43, of Roseland, died on Thursday, April l5, 2010, in Charlottesville.
She was born in Lynchburg on August 1, 1966, the daughter of the late George W. Falls and Linda Candler Schmitt.
She was a part-time tax preparer for Liberty Tax Service in Charlottesville.
She is survived by one son, Kristoffer Owen Balin, and his father, Peter Balin, both of Roseland; two brothers, G. W. Falls and his wife, Brandi, of Amherst and Roy Davis Templeton Jr. "Davey" and his wife, Tracy, of Spout Springs; two step-brothers, Donovan Falls of Roseland and David Falls and his wife, Ashley, of Amherst; one sister, April Joy Schmitt of Lynchburg; step-mother, Brenda Falls of Roseland; several nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home with the Reverend John Campbell officiating. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the America Cancer Society, 1445 Rio Road East, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

We baked in the sun for hours and days. We walked on the beach and said nothing at all. We played in the snow and prayed for spring. The best season of all was the fall when we would plan for Halloween. I will miss you in all the seasons.

Linda, I was really saddened to see this. I remember that pretty little girl of 3 back in the day. I have not seen you for a number of years now, but my heart goes out to you. I believe I saw you last at Living Word Baptist Church when you brought April to VBS. I'm still at Living Word; come join us sometime when you can. My love and prayers are with you. And I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss of my dear friend Lisa. Lisa and I were kindred spirits. When I go to the Outer Banks I will think of you, whenever I take a walk through the mountains I will think of you. You my friend will never be forgotten. And whenever Ted Nugent comes on the radio I will sing it again for you so that you can laugh at me again. You'll be laughing and I'll be crying because that was my favorite memory with you.
