My sister Sandra Raynor (Furr) was a friend of Marsha's (and Shelia's) when they were teens. I beleive that Sandra was at Heavens gate on April 9, 2010 to greet her friend, Marsha. Sandra often spoke of Marsha and her family and of the good times they had together & what a great blessing they were in her life.

What a hole in my heart Marsha's passing has left. Although we don't understand her leaving us so soon we know that that our Father God in Heaven has it all under control. We all have special memories of Marsha to comfort us. Heaven must have needed another angel.

Marsha, I feel so blessed to have called you friend. You were such an inspiration to me. Perhaps none of us told you enough just how special you were. You were there for me when I really needed a friend. Surely the Lord crossed our paths. I regret that we didn't keep in touch better through the years. Life happens so quickly. I love you and I will miss you. "I Know The Master of the Wind" will never sound the same. You were an angel!

Marsha, my dearest friend, how I will miss you. My first memory is of you singing El Shaddai in the old sanctuary at Gordonsville Church of God. I was captivated by your voice and annointing. My last memory is bringing you gummy bears in the hospital. So many memories in between: your old gray Chevy S10 zooming across 29 with Billy Ray Cyrus blaring, rooming together in Gordonsville and Charlottesville, your lentil soup you would eat for 7 days because it was cheap, thermostat on 62 because we couldn't afford the gas bill, the song He'll Do it Again that you sang so beautifully, planning Ethan's baby shower from North Carolina and the Chandler's cake you insisted on getting, your awesome pumpkin and banana bread and how you would give them out at Christmas, our favorite saying to each other "love you like a hog loves slop", your love for your friends and your family and so much more. I love you so very much my dear friend and will miss you tremendously. I can't wait to hear you sing again.

My husband, Thad, worked with Marsha at Starbucks in Kernersville. She was a dear friend to our family. Her smile lit up a room, and I will always remember her big, beautiful eyes and infectious laughter. She was one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet and I will hold in my heart the memories of her bright, shining spirit. We will miss you so much, Marsha. Be at peace, our dear friend.

You lit up my world the day you were born!

"My Daughter" (Written in the '70's)

A little girl was born to me
A child that God had given
Seemed He looked over His kingdom
And sent this one from heaven

This little girl needed lots of love
She fussed and cried a lot
But, she was special in so many ways
This tiny little tot

As she grew she learned of God
And gave to Him her heart
She fell in love with going to church
Yes, she had made a great start

And now at times she sings in church
When she finds the nerve to try
She teaches children's church
And holds them when they cry

I'm blessed to have her for my daughter
With her kind and precious ways
God's angels, I know, watch over her
Thank you, God is all I can say.

Marsha was a dear friend of mine in middle school and high school. I haven't seen her since that period of my life, but will always remember what a special person she was! My remembrances of Marsha are filled with smiles and laughter..we were always giggling about something silly that had happened during the course of the school week. I am blessed to have known her! My prayers are with her family.

Marsha had such a sweet spirit. And my goodness, her singing was passed down from angels. She was always willing to reach out for others. I remember when she came to our house to watch Josiah while we floated down the river on the AnnaBelle Lee. What a special person who will be missed by so many people. Our condolences to all her family. Janet, Michael and Josiah Pleasants
