Mary Elizabeth Fletcher Scott

Mary Elizabeth Fletcher Scott, 78, of Orange, died on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

She was born on December 23, 1931, in Spotsylvania, Virginia, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lottie Davenport Fletcher. She was a retired seamstress with Blue Bell Inc.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband, William H. Scott Sr. of Orange; two sons, William H. Scott Jr. and his wife, Kristy, of Gordonsville, Kevin Eugena Scott and his wife, Shannon, of Caroline County; two sisters, Phyllis Jenkins of Louisa and Charlotte Drone of Culpeper; and four grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Graham Cemetery in Orange with Dr. Richard Goble officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010, at the Preddy Funeral Home, 250 West Main Street in Orange.
