Mary Nemetz Obituary
Mary Liptak Nemetz, 90, of Prince George, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2009, in Charlottesville, Virginia, after a short illness.
She was born September 11, 1919, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of John Liptak Sr. and Elizabeth Gala Liptak.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Alfred Nemetz; a sister, Anne Teppo; and a brother, John Liptak Jr.
She leaves to honor her memory, Thomas D. And Gwen S. Nemetz of Midlothian, Virginia, Mary Jean and Howard B. Craddock of Charlottesville, Virginia, William H. Craddock of State College, Pennsylvania, and Brian A. Craddock of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Proud to be a first generation American, Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and member of the Lutheran Church.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday December 29, 2009, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860, with a graveside service to follow 2 p.m. at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.

Tom and Gwen, Sorry to hear about Mary's passing but we know she is at last at peace with no more suffering and reunited with her husband and other dear family members. Tom you were an exceptional son and God will bless you for all your faithfulness and care that you gave to Mary. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
