Monica L. Schwartz
Monica Lusk Schwartz, 40, of Howardsville, died on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Charlottesville.
She was born on April 24, 1969 in Louisiana, she was the daughter of Cathleen Rhodes of Howardsville, Virginia and the late Joseph H. Lusk of Louisiana.
Monica was employed as a waitress at Ruby Tuesday's for several years and enjoyed serving her customers and the friendship of her fellow employees.
In addition to her mother, Cathleen Rhodes and step-father, William Rhodes, she is survived by four children, Jonathan Yost and his wife, Ashley, of Howardsville, Paul Allen Delyea of Mississippi, Joseph Schwartz and Isis Schwartz, both of Louisiana; two sisters, Faith Roche, her husband, Dylan, and their daughter, Jade, of California and Christen Rhodes of Virginia; a brother, Emmanuel deLemos and his son, Emilio, of Florida; and two grandchildren, Jonathan Yost Jr. and Haley Yost of Howardsville.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday, 2010, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the chapel of the Hill and Wood Funeral Home.

Monica, you gave more fun and happiness to us in your short life. You always had a little hi or something for me when I came to Ruby Tuesdays. I'm sure you are in a better place that you well deserve. To the family, I hope you can find peace and comfort knowing Monica is with her creator. To my friends at Ruby Tuesday, remember that Monica is in your thoughts and heart and therefor has not left you. Someday you will be with her again.

We only knew Monica for 3 hours-Easter Sunday. We went to Ruby Tuesdays after church & Monica was our waitress. She was great. Jackie ordered a manhattan & after she had a few sips, a fly nosedived into her drink. She promptly took the drink & brought her another. We asked if it was the same drink with fly removed & she said no. We knew it was a fresh drink.
Monica was a caring person to us that day after we paid our check she returned to tell us thanks.
We know you will miss her. The world will miss her.

I hadn't seen Monica in many years. I always enjoyed our conversations. I remember times we laughed till we had tears shooting out of our eyes. We have known each other for 20+ years. It saddens me to know I won't run into her again in this life. I will be praying for those she has left behind. It's a great loss.

I was shocked to find out that Monica had passed away. I did not know her personally but each time my friend and I visited Ruby Tuesday's she would always make a special effort to talk to us, even if she was not our waitress. She was always so friendly and wore a smile that we will never forget. Sincere sympathy to her family, friends and her "Ruby Tuesday" family.

Monica is my stepdaughter from my late husband Joseph H. Lusk, Jr.. I personally will miss her a lot. I will miss her smile and her humor. She was a sweet and dear person. I was proud to be her stepmother. I always loved her . She may be gone in person , but she will never be gone in my heart. Monica I will miss you a lot. I was unable to attend the services ,but I send my condolescences to the family and friends of Monica . You are in my thoughts and my prayers.
