Rose I. Smith

Rose I. Smith, 85, of Washington, D.C., departed this life on Tuesday, April 22, 2008.

She is survived by one brother, Walter E. Slaughter of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Cornelia Swift of Charlottes-ville, Virginia; her nieces, Peggy Tonsler-Williams of Danville, Virginia, and Camelia Farrar of Charlottesville, Virginia; her nephew, Howard Swift of Charlottesville, Virginia; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at The True Pentecostal Church of Christ, 3311 12th Street NE, Washington, D.C. 20012, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2008, with Elder Joseph Lindsey officiating,
