Ruby Jenkins Obituary
Ruby Christine Jenkins, 58, of Gordonsville, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010, at her home.
Christine was born on March 13, 1952, in Greene County, the daughter of the late Russell I. Shifflett and Dorothy Mae Lamb Shifflett.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Jenkins; three stepsons, Timothy Lee Jenkins and Eddie Dean Jenkins both of Lousia, and Tyler F. Jenkins of Florida; one stepdaughter, Joanne Thompson and her husband, Christopher Lee, of Mineral; one sister, Tammy Shifflett; nine step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Christine was employed as an office manager at Schewel Furniture in Orange. She attended Free Will Grace Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Ryan Funeral Home with the Reverend John Austin officiating. Interment will follow at the Pocosan Mountain Cemetery.
Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Tommy, Tammy & Family,
My thought and prayers are with all of you. I will miss my best friend so very much. Schewels will never be the same. She was the backbone of the office.

I cannot imagine how it's going to be calling Schewels and Chris not being there answering the phone.She always had something to say that would make you laugh.I know you all have alot of wonderful memeories.She will be truly missed by all.You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Tommy, please know that my prayers are with you at this time. I have known you and Christine since I was a little girl, and have always thought of you two as family. Christine was a great friend to Baby and the rest of the family. She will be missed. And if there is anything we can do for you, let us know.
