Ruby Simms Obituary
Ruby G. Simms, of Crozet, born August 14, 1922, lovingly known as "Gert", went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 11, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her sister, Anna Spears and her niece, Anna Fitch.
She is survived by her great nieces, Barbara and Memanie Fitch, her nephew-in-law, Robert Fitch; and her nephew, William Spears; and a host of friends who loved her as their family.
The family will receive friends at Barbara Fitch's home from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 915 Rockcreek Road in Charlottesville, VA 22903.
The funeral will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greenwood, 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, Pastor Barnett will be officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
Special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont and Augusta Medical Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Lewis Funeral Home of Waynesboro, will be in charge of the service.
