Jim and Pat, what a life well served and so many lives that were touched by your mother. I'm sure it is a blessing to hear stories that might have been new to you or remember those you have not heard in years. You gave your mother a great gift,of staying in her own home until she was able to go to her eternal home. Keeping you in prayer.

Dear Jimmy and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Daniel's passing. I remember how she and your Dad made me feel like a another son, long before he was a Congessman.
I have often repeated stories about the trips to Chincoteague. She made the best pancakes!
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
She was a great lady!

Dear Jimmie & Family,
Mere words are not adequate to express my sympathy and condolence upon learning of your Mother's passing. I lost mine in May, 2006, so I can identify with your bereavement and sorrow. Please know that your grief can be relieved by knowing that Ruby now has Crossed Over, and has fulfilled God's promise of Eternal Life, and at this very moment she is together again with Dan.

Dear Jim, Missy, Mark, Todd and Tim,
Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss of Ruby. I know this is an extremely difficult time for the Daniel family. Please know I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I first met Ruby when she and Dan were in Washington. I was working as a lobbyist and dealt with Congressman Daniel quite often. I was also able to be with them at social functions through those years. They were such pleasant company.
After Dan's untimely death, I stayed in touch with Ruby through the last 21 years. She was a guest at my home in Virginia Beach numerous times and I would meet her in Washington at various social (golf) events. It was always wonderful to spend time with her. We had lots of laughs when we were together and I always looked forward to seeing her.
Whenever we were together or when we spoke on the phone, she never failed to bring me up-to-date on the Daniel family members. She was extremely proud of all of you. She was never boastful about anything except when speaking about her family. She talked to me so often about each of you, I feel as though I know you even though we have never met. It was so apparent she loved all of you very deeply.
Ruby was one of the most selfless people I have ever known. She always put others first. She was gentle, kind, thoughtful and generous. It was a privilege to have known her and I too loved her very much.
I am certain I am a better person for having known her. She touched me deeply. I feel extremely fortunate that she crossed my path in life. She was such a warm, lovely and special lady and what a lady she was. We will never see the likes of her again. She was one of kind. I will miss her terribly and I will cherish her memory always.
Sincerely,
Rita O'Rourke Camp
