Charles "Heavy" Daniel, age 87, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on March 9, 1938, in Cartersville, Georgia, he was a son of Fred and Allean (Mays) Daniel and had accepted Christ as his Savior.
Charles and his parents migrated to Ohio where he attended Springfield High School. He was a hard worker, working both at Mercy Hospital in Springfield and at Wren’s Department Store until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Allean and his brother Matthew Daniel.
He is survived by his loving and devoted son Charles "Chuckie" (Robin) Daniel of Fort Mill, SC, daughter Carla Daniels, Columbus, OH and son Carlton Daniels. He is also survived by his brothers John Fred Daniel and Harry (Mary) Daniel, Sr., who managed his brother’s care, and sister Bobbie Hardy, all of Springfield, OH. Two grandsons, Michael of Dale City, VA and Nicholas Daniels, granddaughters Cassidy Daniels and Alyssa Kent, great grandson Cameron Daniels, special nephew, Harry "Tank" Daniel Jr., who tended to him with love and support in Chuckie’s absence and Chuckie’s special daughters Tera Thornton and Tara Williams and loving sister Katina Barnett of Greensboro, NC along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
