We're sorry to hear of your loss, too. We have thought of you often since hearing that Russell had Parkinson's disease like his cousin, my dad, John Westlake. Those words, "went home to Jesus," make all the difference, don't they? When my dad passed away, I felt like he had been let out of a cage because his trust was in Christ, and I was so thankful to have a sure hope. Our prayers will be with you in the days ahead.

Writing to Governor John Page following his daughter, Maria's death, Jefferson wrote: "Whatever is to be our destiny, wisdom as well as duty dictates that we should acquiesce in the will of Him whose it is to give and take away and be contented in the enjoyment of those who are still permitted to be with us." These are the thoughts which we convey to Glenn and family on the death of Russell A. Slosson. He will remain in our prayers, Jules and Martha Vallay
