Tammy Martinez Obituary
Tammy Darlene Martinez, 41, died on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born on November 16, 1968, in Charlottesville, Virginia, to Robert Layne of Crozet, Virginia, and the late Ivy Layne.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Martinez and her husband, Ricky Keyton Jr. of Crozet, Virginia; three grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyle and Kassidy Keyton, all of Crozet, Virginia; two sisters, Robin Layne of Crozet, Virginia; Kathy Shiflett of Barboursville, Virginia; two brothers, Robert Layne and his wife, Tammy Goolsby, of Greenwood, Virginia, Benny Layne and his wife, Penny Morris, of Crozet, Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the Anderson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
A funeral service will be held at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Interment will follow at the Rockgate Cemetery in Crozet with the Reverend David Collyer officiating.
Anderson Funeral Home, of Crozet is in charge of arrangements.

It will be a year in a few more days since you went away, even though it seems just like yesterday!! I will always cherish the times we shared and I will never forget you and all the laughs we've had...Tammy I love you and I can't begin to understand, I can only hope that you are truely at peace and suffering no more! I will hold your memory so dear and close and I hope that you always knew how special you were and still are to me..You were my cousin, my sister but most of all my very bestes and dearest friend...Until we meet again!!!

Dear.Maria and family, I am so very sorry for the loss of our family memeber! I am so devastated as I know all of you are too. I love you all very much and wish with all my heart that I could be with you all at this sad, sad, time in our lives! I loved Tammy so much..I loved her as a sister not just a cousin..we had spent so much time together, did so many things, shared many, many, laughs...and tears with each other!!
