Virene Virginia Turner Creasy
Virene Virginia Turner Creasy, 66, of Blenheim Road, Charlottesville, departed this life on Friday, October 8, 2010, at Martha Jefferson Hospital.
She was born on October 23, 1943, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Willie Moses and Martha Nell (Gough) Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Mae Washington and Patricia Ann Nelson.
Virene was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Keene, Virginia, where she served as an Usher. She worked at Stromberg Carlson for some years, and worked for Mr. and Mrs. Scott Goodman of Charlottesville until becoming ill.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted daughter, Deborah Ann Bates of Troy; her son, Mark Creasy of Crozet; one granddaughter, Marika LaShay Bates; two grandsons, Brian and Christopher Bookins of Crozet; devoted employers, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Goodman, Justin, Alex and Andrew Goodman of Charlottesville; six brothers, Willie Turner of Keene, Gary Turner of Esmont, the Reverend Kit C. Turner of Charlottesville, Jeffrey Turner of Seattle, Washington, Calvin Turner of Ruckersville andJason Turner of Hagerstown, Maryland; and three sisters, Audrey Elaine Feggans of Esmont, the Reverend Phyllis Hudson of Richmond, and Varnessa Agee of Palmyra.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Keene by the Reverend Otis Donaldson. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Thacker Brothers Funeral Home in Scottsville is handling the arrangements.

Please accept our deepest condolences, we are so sorry that such a sweet, beautiful lady as Miss Virene had to leave us. Although we are truly saddened, we all know that she is glad, rejoicing in heaven with our Lord, no more pain, no more suffering. To Mark and Tasha, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Ms. Creasy is at peace now, no more suffering and pain. I had not known her long but she was a very thoughtful and kind person. To Mark and family: I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom Virene. She was a wonderful woman and she will be missed. We wanted to let you know that we truly feel your pain, because when we loose loved ones, it hurts. Yes Virene is gone from our presence, but know that she is resting in the arms of our Almight God. Know that God makes no mistakes. He praised Virene for her faithfulness in enduring all that she was going through, and he told her last Friday that she had finished her course and he was ready for her to grace his garden.
