Walter Porter Obituary
Walter Porter, 86, of Fluvanna County, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Hill and Fannie; sisters, Dot, Agnes, Mary and Ethel; brothers, Robert, Lawrence, James, Chester, Manfield and Russell; daughter, Margaretta; and his wife, Margaret.
He is survived by his sister, Margie; daughters, Sharon and her husband, Freddie, and Margarite; son, Douglas and his wife, Jihad; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at New Folk Church, 16 New Folk Lane, Palmyra, Virginia, with the Reverend Freddie Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2010, at the J. F. Bell Funeral Home.
