Dear Mrs. Sherman and Family.
I learned only yesterday of your loss. I always admired your family and have thought of you often. I lost my Dad this year also. We lost Mom eight years ago. God bless you all, Phil

Irwin, Rebecca and Nancy,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Welford was a wonderful man and devoted husband , father and grandfather. I know you will miss him, but I also know you have fond memories to hold in your heart forever. I feel very fortunate to have known Welford and his kindness.

Mrs. Sherman and Rebeccca: So sorry for your loss of Mr. Sherman.I of course knew him somewhat while I was in high school with Rebecca. I never knew he was such a founding father for much of Orange. It sure proves he conducted himself in the manner that we all should. And I quote
"KNOCK KNOCK(Welford at the pearly gates)God answering "Who is there? Welford Sherman, Jr. my lord..What do you want Welford? I want to enter the kingdom of heaven father. You silly boy just use your key!!! Love to all...take care...Smokey Jordan

Dear Irwin and family, I was so sorry to hear of Welford's passing. I was so touched when the two of you attended Tom's funeral and am sorry I am unable to attend Welford's tomorrow. I did not know that you had moved to Richmond and don't have your address there, but I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Affectionately, Lorene Sherman
