Maria Masiorski Obituary
AGE: 66 • Cedar Knolls
Maria Masiorski, who filled the lives of those around her with love and cake, died Monday, March 4, 2013 in Morristown. She was 66. The cause was complications from uterine cancer. Born in Lipno, Poland, Maria came to America in her early 20s. In an English class in Wallington she met her first husband, Jaroslaw Kalawur, with whom she had the three children who were the center of her life: Peter, Annette and Yvonne. Her dedication to her children, family and friends outweighed even the loyalty she gave her employer, Pfizer, where she worked on the factory floor for 35 years before retirement. Maria showed her love through warm hugs, bright smiles—and baked goods. Her cheesecakes were legendary in the family; it was not unusual for her to bake seven desserts for a dinner of 12. So abundant was her love.
Maria is survived by her husband, Tadeusz Masiorski; her brother, Kazimierz Majewski of Gilroy, Calif.; and her children, Peter, Annette, Yvonne and their families, including a granddaughter, Tiffany, great-grandchildren, Dillon and Audrey, and 6-week-old Aniela, the granddaughter who shares her name with Maria's middle name.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10 am at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church in Cedar Knolls. A viewing will be held at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home in Whippany, Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

I worked with Maria on the lines for 25 years, she is the most kindness person I met. She always smiled even if it was a rough day. She made friends with everyone and had a heart of GOLD. I know she is in heaven watching over her family and friends. I will truely miss her, it was a pleasure to know someone like her.

Maria was always one of my favorite co-workers at Pfizer. She was so friendly, warm and loving that I just loved being in her presence. We formed a special bond over the past few months, encouraging one another as we each went through chemotherapy treatments. My heart is broken that her journey has come to an abrupt end. But I take comfort in knowing that one sweet day I will see her again - in a much better place - and feel her warm and loving spirit once again. Rest in peace, my dear friend. I am honored to have known you and I will miss you greatly.

"Pani Maryla" - a true Lady, beautiful inside and out. I have known Her for 33 years as She was one of the first people I met after coming to the United States in 1980. From that first moment, She became my inspiration. I admired Her way of being a Mother, Women, Good Person, and I always wanted to be as great of a cook and baker as She was. All that has not changed with years passing by. The passing of " Pani Maryla" broke my heart but at the same time I'm very thankful for being given the chance to know Her. She will always be remembered by me and my husband Janusz. It was a great privilege to know You " Pani Marylko " and Thank You for leaving this beautiful "footstep" in my life. Deepest sympathy to "Pani Maryla's" Husband, Children, and the whole Family.

To the family of Maria,
She was loved by everyone that knew her and will truly be missed by us all. She may be absent from us, but she is present with the Lord. She had a face that could light up a room, a smile of an angel, and a heart of gold. She put all that love into the yummy cheesecakes she made that brought everyone together. And we will continue to take that love everywhere we go, a good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
