Ray Gebhardt lit up the lives of so many of us. His love for Joan was exemplary, guiding many of us in our own marriages. A father who was present to his five children and then made room for so many more in little and big ways. A generous heart sharing his gifts, the the things he loved (skiing in Vermont, the water & golf in Hilton Head). So many treasured memories - the joy of his whistling, stopping at Gold's for candy, an elegant dinner at Karl Ratzch's far from the dorm's dreadful food, always checking in about your family , his great laugh, his curiosity, his handyman capabilities, his enjoyment of the good things in life, his faith, his gentleness. I am forever grateful for his welcoming presence in my life. My prayers are with you Joan and all of your family.

Barb Martinez Gebhardt and Family -
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. He was such a kind and funny man. I have fond memories of him and your mom from High School. I remember thinking even when they were mad at us for some dumb thing that we did, they were still so loving and kind. The world is a better place for him being here. He will be missed. Love to you and my thoughts and prayers are with all today. Barb Delaney
