Elaine Cramer Obituary

Elaine Weissert Cramer, 66, passed away October 26, 2012 at her home in Southfield. Elaine was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Frederick and Virginia (Hogue) Weissert on June 10, 1946. She went to Garfield High School in Akron, Ohio and graduated in 1964. She went onto earn a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Akron, as well as a master's degree in Counseling from Oakland University. She was formerly employed by Jewish Vocational Services as a counselor and was a member of Church of the King in Berkley for 32 years. She loved Jesus more than anything, and she enjoyed Bible study, reading, board games, and spending time with her family and friends. Elaine is survived by her sister, Rebecca Benson of Strongsville, Ohio; her brother, James Weissert of Akron, Ohio; her daughter, Deborah (Steve) Lindberg of Spring, Texas; her son, Stephen (Sabrina Cuadra) Cramer of Athens, Georgia; and her three grandchildren, Justin, Kyle, and Elise Lindberg. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Virginia Weissert, as well as a brother-in-law, David Benson, and a sister-in-law, Leah Weissert. A Memorial visitation will be Tuesday 2:30 p.m. until the Memorial service begins at 3:30 p.m. at Church of the King, 3688 W 12 Mile Rd., Berkley with Pastor Tal Sullivan officiating. Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements. For those unable to attend, please visit www.sawyerfuller.com to share a memory and sign the online guestbook. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of the King, 248-548-3464. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Church of the King in Berkley for their support, and the Park at Trowbridge in Southfield for their care in Elaine's final years.
