ROBERT WUNDERLICH Obituary
Remembered for his wit and quirky sense of humor, his love of the Big Bang Theory, Dilbert and anything that involved bacon. Memorial visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m. at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Directors, 500 W. Nine Mile Road, Ferndale. A Celebration of Rob's Life will be held Friday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ferndale Schools Fine Arts Boosters, 881 Pinecrest, Ferndale 48220 or Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.

Robert gave me a leg up professionally, giving me an opportunity to present at Lotusphere twice. I have never and will never forget him. He was a genuine, supportive and kind person. He made a difference in my life and I'm glad to have met him. I'd like to offer his family my continued condolences.

dear Eileen, Heard news thru my Fuller Brush grapevine, I am saddened by the news. I knocked at your door lots of times looking for you and he never seemed bothered! He was always very nice to me. Rob was one of the first friends I had in the Lotus community - we learned the Lotus instructor ropes together in the early, early days. His friendship and support helped make all the conferences a nicer place to be. My condolences for the loss of this lovely person.

Rob was my first boss in the record industry when he ran the A&M Records college department and he thought me many things over the years. I am glad I was able to visit him in Detroit last year and to visit the house. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with the family at this time.

I'm one of those high school pals who was aware of Rob, but didn't know him well. Still, at our reunion a few years back, he was that welcoming smile that told me I was home. I'm sorry for the family and their loss, and I am forever grateful to remember Rob as an example of the fine experience of SHS. My deepest sympathies at his passing. We all loved him.

Rob was one of those rare individuals who truly listened and supported others. He was so proud of Eileen, Samm and Charlotte and all of their accomplishments. The joy he took in our Ferndale musical family was inspiring. He will be deeply missed in our community. My condolences go to his family.

My name is Suellen Chips Trionfi and I live on Wolverine Lake. I want to express my sincere condolences to your famiy on the loss of your dear Rob. The entire Wolverine Lake community has been in shock all week and wondering what we could have done differently. Most of us had/have no idea who the man was that drown.
To my shock,I received a call last night from a friend who explained that he knew this gentleman and so did I!! I asked Steve McCormick (SHS class of'68)who it was and he told me Rob Winderlich, SHS class of '69 President. Our SHS friends stretch far and wide when we least expect it. Rob was a wonderful classmate, friend to all that knew him, fun, kind, and smart!! Those are the memories I will hold dear as I send you my sincere sympathy.

As a presenter for IBM/Lotus many years ago, Rob taught me a number of tips that I have carried with me and used in my own travels, remembering him each time. His kindness and generosity will live on in these little things that he taught all of us along the way.

Rob and I met at Lotusphere while working on Mobile projects. At a group dinner, I remember how much fun it was to talk with him and share his love of music, his warmth, and his sense of humor. He will be missed.

Oh my! Eileen, I'm so shocked. One of my most favorite people. I have always enjoyed "stumbling" into you two at the store or local events. I don't really know what to say except I'm so sad for your loss. Rob is someone I will never forget. May God bless you and Charlie and Sam, watch over you all, and keep you safe and comforted.

Dear Eileen and family,
I was very sad to hear about Rob. I worked with Rob as a colleague consultant at Daimler Chrysler on a project and then he became a good friend to all of us at Commontime. We saw him at all the trade shows and had many dinners with him and kept in touch via FB. He was a great guy. He was so proud of his daughters. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult and sad time for your family.

I first 'met' Rob online in the early days of blogging, and then years later at a yearly conference as well. He was always smiling, always happy to share his vast knowledge, and readily displayed his quick wit. Rob will be missed.

Rob and I presented together at two IBM conferences. Already an experienced speaker Rob really helped me get organised and get ready.
I'll remember Rob as a professional, kind, generous man with a warm sense of humour. I'm very glad to have known him and sad that our paths won't cross again.
