Leola Arnaud Obituary
ARNAUDVILLE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Leola Marie Devillier Arnaud, 86, who passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013, at Opelousas General Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue at 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Thursday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
Her son, Rev. Michael Arnaud will officiate at her Funeral Mass with Msgr. Richard Greene serving as concelebrant, along with other Priests from the Diocese. Scriptures will be read by Hannah and Nicole Gremillion. Gift Bearers will be Peyton Richard and Kimberly Arnaud. Entombment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum in Arnaudville.
Mrs. Arnaud, a devout Catholic, was a parishioner of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and also served on the Grief Committee, preparing meals for the bereaved for many years. Leola had a true devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and offered prayers of intention to those in need.
As a pastime, Leola enjoyed sewing for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Avia Andrepont and her husband, Charley, of Church Point; three sons, Rev. Michael J. Arnaud of Mire, Guy W. Arnaud and his wife, Mindy, of Cecilia, and Dennis A. Arnaud and his wife, Jessica, of Arnaudville; her brother, F. L. "Bill" Devillier of Pecaniere; six grandchildren, Nicole, Joey, Kyle, Kimberly, Chris, Peyton, and Lily; and four great grandchildren, Hannah, David, Ella, and Luke.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Badeaux Devillier; her former husband, Wivis Arnaud; her husband, Henry Arnaud; two brothers, Walter and Claude "Rock" Devillier; and her foster sister, Lenora Fitzgerald.
Pallbearers will be Guy W. Arnaud, Dennis A. Arnaud, Chris Arnaud, Kyle Arnaud, Joey Richard, and Charlie Andrepont.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank "Bill" Devillier and Robbie Devillier.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville, 314 St. Landry St., Arnaudville, Louisiana 70512, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.

I know the lost of a Mother is big. The past 6 years since I met her. I knew she was a devoted, caring, loving,and faithful person. She would drop in either before or after mass to pick up a few things she needed. She always had a smile to give you and kind words. I love the energy she own because she knew Jesus. May her light always shine from heaven on her dear family that she loved so much. I will pray for healing for her love ones thru Divine Mercy. She will not be forgotten where she went thru in life.
