Jack Grossberg

Grossberg, Jack Born Nov. 6, 1919 in Tyler, Texas, died Sept. 30, 2011 in Dallas. Jack was a proud Army veteran who served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He loved to tell stories to everyone about his life and adventures in the army and also about working in his uncle's deli in Brooklyn. Jack was a lifelong bachelor who is survived by his sister Trudy Abrams, niece Inez Nielsen, great-nieces Arielle Nielsen and Jennifer Nielsen, all of Pembroke Pines, Florida, niece Debra Abrams of New York, cousins Bruce Schenkler, Fred Schenkler and Ellen Schenkler, and many younger cousins who all called him Uncle Jack, and friends of all ages. Our heartfelt thanks to Jack's "second family" and friends at Golden Acres, his home for the last seven years, and to VNA Hospice for their kind and loving care. Services at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 1:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers memorials to VNA or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
