Liz, my friend,
My heart aches for you in the departure from this world of your beloved Rob. His spirit, and yours, through these last years will remain an inspiration for me, and, no doubt, for many others.
With much love,
Becky

My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your brother, Rob.

Not because you left us...
But because you touched us."

It was a shock to find out about the death of my old "Lead Singer'. We shared many hours of laughter and song, and you are now missed very much. I know this world will be a quieter, sadder place without your laughter and stories, and it will be a less interesting world, knowing that now you are gone from it. I pray for those you left behind - this is our season of mourning. R.I.P., "Grambo".

Rob was my dear friend, and since I cannot recount all the great times we shared, suffice it to say he was like another brother to me. I will miss you my dear friend, my amigo. But, I know we'll see each other on the other side. We'll just pick up the friendship where we left off.

Rob and I grew up like brothers. We were inseparable from Drane Junior High on through High School and beyond - even to the end. He and I worked together at the same company in Chicago, then transferred back to the Dallas office together. I remember so many good times and so much laughter...and getting into way too much trouble together: like the time we claimed to have "put a light in the beacon" at Drane Junior High after being caught in the attic by Mr. Allen; the time a deputy sheriff picked us up from one of our camping trips and stood us in a court room before the judge with our not insignificant arsenal of weaponry (at age 14), and how all my friends chipped in to loan me money to pay my fine. Even after we grew up and both married, we played together as families and shared good times as well as bad. But, we remained best friends throughout our lives. As a result, our sons are closer than anyone might believe. Like Rob and I, they grew up as brothers, and that was a comfort (and a cause for joy) to us both. I'll miss you, my brother, my amigo, but we both know I'll see you on the other side. We'll just have to behave ourselves then.

Robert Edward was my all time favorite cousin out of twenty some odd. We spent a big part of every summer together when we were kids. We lost track of each other during our middle years, but reconnected in our later years. Rob had the heart of a lion and the soul of a lamb. Go with God, Cuz!

I will always have good memories of Robert. He was a good friend and he will be greatly missed. Our years playing football together are a treasure in my heart...especially the 1963 "perfect season" when we played side by side, him at right tackle and me at right guard. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time.

It was and remains an honor to know Rob, to have developed a close friendship and worked closely with him over the last two decades. I'll miss him...

Although I don't remember everyone in my CHS class of 1964, I remember Robert very well. He was a big guy and loved to play football as a Tiger. We were good friends and he signed every one of his pictures in my annual. I have such fond memories of him.
May God bless you and your family during this time.

When tragedy strikes and takes the life of our loved ones, we cry out with great sorrow. Be assured that your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of life. Although your deep pain will not easily disappear, praying to God will bring comfort to you as you grieve. The Bible tells us that God is "healing the broken-hearted ones, and is binding up their painful spot". May the "Father of tender mercies" and the "God of all comfort" strengthen your faith and give you courage to face the days ahead. (1Corinthians 1:3) I am very sorry for your loss.

I was a classmate of Robs at CHS. I remember him as a kind young man with a quick smile and wonderful sense of humor. My prayers to his family in this time of sorrow. Thank you Rob for donating to cancer research.
