Dear Greg,
Your post did not go unread and was not lost. We are all grieving along with you. I wish I could ease your loss and alleviate the sadness your whole family is experiencing. We will all always miss our one family member that possessed the most love for her family, pride in her children and grandchildren, grace, and beauty. Although we have her memory and her example to draw upon, we no longer have her with us--and this is an unfillable void.
We are so proud of you--your accomplishments as a teacher, as a father, as a man. We are also proud of your kids. Just because you don't hear directly from us as often as we should reach out, that doesn't mean that you are not in our thoughts and prayers.
Jennifer has made some great accomplishments and deserves to be congratulated for what she has done and what she is going on to do. All her life she has had some fine examples to follow and will make you proud. Prepare to sit back and be astounded!
And be proud of those seniors. They are now going out into the world to do exactly what you were there to prepare them for. You will probably never know how many ways you influenced each of them--most likely in ways that have absolutely nothing to do with the band.
Christ will comfort you and will not give you anything you cannot handle. Take your challenges one day at at time and do your best. Know we love you.
Greg

On the day Jennifer graduates from High School - June 4, 2011:
I am confident that this post will go unread, lost in this past guest book. Two months have passed since mom's death and yet it is still hard to comprehend that she is not here. I held hope that mom would see Jennifer graduate. It was an event she used to keep fighting the good fight. Mom has a deep love for Jennifer and Drew and I know she would be most proud of her granddaughter on this day.
There has been too much loss too soon. Change in Rochelle and my life has been coming too often and too fast. I hold to the sovereignty of Christ and His comfort to endure the loss of mom, the moving away of my daughter to Kansas, and the scattering of wonderful senior students who gave their hearts to the band because they believed in my leadership and challenge to accomplish far more then thought possible.

Jarvis, Mike, Greg and family. We're so sorry to hear about Janet. We feel fortunate to have met her. Ren & I were just talking about the great dinner we had at Bob's. We meet a lot of people but you could tell Janet was a woman of Faith and a real Lady in the very best sense of the word. We're saddened for your loss. Janet and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Regards Murph & Renny
