Elizabeth Boatman

Boatman, Elizabeth Coghill Was born on August 30, 1921 in Dallas, Texas. She passed away April 25,2012. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 27 at 12:30 pm at Central Christian Church, Dallas, with a reception to follow. Fondly known as Libba, was the daughter of Chloe W. and Robert Gordon Coghill and lived her entire life here. Mrs. Boatman is preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert G. Coghill and sister Katheryn Coghill Clark. She was also preceded in death by three beloved husbands; Lt. Howard Edmondson, killed in service in 1944, R. David Thompson, died 1970, to which two children were born to this union: James Gordon Thompson and Sally Ann Thompson Preddy. And last husband James D. Boatman, died in 2004. Libba was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Central Christian Church as a faithful servant since 1939. She was past President of the Women's Organization there, was a Deacon and active in the Bazaar work since 1951. She is survived by her son James Gordon Thompson and wife Janet McWilliams Thompson and their children Jennifer G. Thompson Roach and James Gordon Thompson Jr. and daughter Sally Ann Preddy and husband Rick, and their children John W. Preddy and Jeffrey W. Preddy and five great grandchildren.
