Gregory Trim

1957 - 2015

TRIM, GREGORY M. Gregory Moreland Trim, 58 of Plano, Texas passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on December 28, 2015. Greg was born March 13, 1957 to Ruth and Floyd Trim in Petersburg, Virginia. He attended J.J. Pearce High School and graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Finance. Greg spent his career working in the Information Systems business in the Dallas area. Greg's first love was his family, with a special place for his nieces and nephew. He loved nature and the outdoors, camping with his family and later solo camping for the beauty and solitude. He attended Philmont as a Boy Scout and completed a 14-day Boundary Water canoeing trip. Later as an adult, he floated 18 days through the Grand Canyon with the Sierra Club. Greg was an avid photographer with an eye for natural beauty. He had a true passion for space and the NASA program. A lifelong Republican, he had a keen interest in conservative policies. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Trim and is survived by his father, Floyd Trim, sister, Sarah Byrom and husband, Peter of Dallas, his brothers Calvin Trim and wife, Sue of Plano and Stephen Trim and wife, Cindy of Plano, his nephew, Chad Trim and nieces Catherine Trim, Victoria and Elizabeth Byrom, his aunt Mary Lou Klatt and her daughter Barbara Klatt. A celebration of Greg's life will be held Saturday, January 9th at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Texas Park and Wildlife Foundation.
