A number of us gathered at Coach Joe Simpson's Memorial Service a few weeks ago and reminisced about our fellow RHS athletes. Larry was one of our great friends!

When I knew him, in the 1960s, he was A-plus in every way. A kind fellow, rare for someone as talented as he.

Larry was my brother and I still can't believe I'll never talk to him again. I have many good memories of our childhood and of the time he lived with us when my children were little. He helped them build the largest popsicle stick house probably ever made, much to their delight. He met all the neighbors and painted most of their houses. Grace and peace are yours now but you'll be missed.

Larry, Larry, Larry--For you, maybe this is good timing but for the rest of us--you could easily have waited another 25-30 years (obviously, a very selfish thought).
As I mentioned to Linda, it is times like these when (for me, anyway)the 50's and 60's in Richardson do not seem that long ago and days like this would never come.
I do and will miss you--so travel safely and I hope your memories of us are as good and fun as our memories of you--even if we keep some of those favorite memories to ourselves.
You are a good soul,
Jamie

I knew Larry ever since elementary school. We played on many of the same sports teams. We have talked, althoguh somewhat infrequently, over the years and he had done work for me on a number of homes, etc. You couldn't help but like Larry, he was a great friend. Larry-I hope your time is easier now. God Bless.

Larry was my brother, what can I say? He was there for me when I needed him. I often did throughout the years. He always beat me at golf, and at any other sport we played. He was a kind giving person. He is dearly loved and missed. Thanks to all who have signed this guest book. I'm sure he knows who you are. God bless each of you, and may Larry rest in peace.

Larry has been a part of my life since 1958 when our dads were based in Dallas as pilots for Braniff International. Our families were very close and spent many good times together. Larry was a very sweet guy with a wonderful smile and a kind heart. Those of us who knew him, loved him. God bless you Larry. May you rest in peace.

My sympathy to Larry's family and friends. I met Larry through my sister, Marcy. Him and Yvonne were neighbors and always so nice. Larry was always so sweet to my sister and helping her when she needed a friend. I will always be appreciative to him for this.

I first met Larry when I was about 9 years old, when he lifeguarded at the Pool down the road from my house. Larry was so sweet and kind to me as a young girl.....like a big brother. I know he's in heaven now, and covered in warmth & love.
