News Death Notice

DOMSITZ, Edward P. age 80 of Brookville, formerly of Trotwood, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Hospice of Dayton. Ed attended St. Agnes grade school and graduated in 1948 from Chaminade High School. He retired in 1996 after 44 years with the Chrysler Corporation. Ed was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corp. and was also a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Joyce J. (Butler) Domsitz, daughters: Joni E. Domsitz of Brookville, Christina M. (Jim) Domsitz-Singer of Brookville, Janice A. (Kevin) Domsitz-Johnson of Brookville, sons and daughters-in-law: Edward J. Domsitz of Phillipsburg, Thomas A. (Loreza) Domsitz of Kihei, HI, Craig R. (Dorothy) Domsitz of Houghton Lake, MI, Todd A. (Karen) Domsitz of Brookville, Joseph P. (Monique) Domsitz of Brookville, grandchildren: Nikki and Katrina Domsitz, Dennis and Trey Dagley, Angela, Jessica, Mary and Jonathan Domsitz, Nicholas, Allison and Maria Domsitz, Amanda, Connor, and Lydia Domsitz, Shelby and Julia Johnson, great granddaughter: Agenda Domsitz, sister: Edith C. "Sweet" Fessler of Union, MI, daughter-in-law: Vicki L. Domsitz of Englewood, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Judith A. Marcum of Clayton, Harry A. Butler of Huber Heights, James R. and Patricia Butler of Beavercreek, family friend: Sister Dennis Tisler, numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward A. and Lydia J. Domsitz, sisters: Lydia T. Domsitz, Marguerite B. Schmidt, and Gertrude M. "Babe" St. Pierre. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to all of Eds caregivers from the Hospice of Dayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Precious Blood Catholic Church (4961 Salem Ave.) with Father William ODonnell and Father James Manning as celebrants. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.kindredfuneralhome.com
