News Death Notice
CLENDENING, Joel Steven age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 5, 2010 in Vero Beach, Florida. He was a long time resident of Edina, MN. He attended North Canton Hoover High School and graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1996. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Harry & Kathryn (Bashford) Clendening and Lester Alford. Joel is survived by his wife: Gretchen (Berry) Clendening and his beloved son: Ethan of Edina, MN. He is also survived by his father: Joel D. Clendening of Canton, OH; his mother and stepfather: Paula (Alford) & Kerry Bruns of Miamisburg, OH; sister and brother-in-law: Leslie (Clendening) & Troy Kemelgor and their children Leah, Caroline and Drew of Dublin, OH; grandparents: Carol (Blagg) Alford of Miamisburg, OH, Elmer & Lucy (Sutter) Bruns of Kettering, OH; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Mary & Ronald Berry of St. Louis Park, MN; and devoted friends: Ken & Peg Sorensen of Chanhassen, MN. Joel will be deeply missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. I had the pleasure of teaching Joel Introduction to Business at Hoover High School when he was in the ninth grade. He was a very intelligent, personable and respectful student My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May his memory be eternal.
