News Death Notice
FROELICH, Marsha R. age 63, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 with family at her side. Mrs. Froelich worked tirelessly in the Dayton area raising funds for many causes. She was the director emeritus of Clothes That Work as well as working for the YWCA, United Way and she held many offices with numerous community organizations. She was often recognized by peers and organizations for her achievements. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie & Muriel Rafal. Marsha is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; daughters & son-in-law, Sara Froelich, Melanie & Jeff Butter; grandchildren, Ryan & Nora Butter; sister, Jeri Pace; step-mother, Jane Rafal; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Gary & Debbie Froelich; and many other loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. With all of her community involvement, family was still the most important thing in Marsha's life. Funeral service 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Temple Israel, 130 Riverside Drive with Rabbi David Sofian officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Marsha's memory may be made to Clothes That Work or the Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley Chapter. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marker & Heller Funeral Homes.

Thank you for this opportunity to remember Marsha. Without a doubt, she was a riveting personality! Passionate, estute, funny and a matchless multi-tasker. To be near her light was a blessing. She personified a life-giving message from the Bible - "to whom much is given, much is required." Marsha was a giver and I am grateful to be a beneficiary. Not in the past but still!

It was our privledge to know Marsha. Dedicated, caring, loving are just a few words to describe this lovely lady. We were lucky to have spent many holidays and happy family occasions with Marsha and her loving family. She exuded a warmth and welcomed us into her home. This is a great loss to the Dayton community as well. She certainly served as a role model for me and many others on how to live a meaninful life. She was one of the best of us and will be missed.

Marsha was an inspiration to me. A very open, caring and dedicated person. She was a memorable presence, though I did not know her well. This is a real loss to our community. I wish her family peace in these difficult days. I am very sorry for your loss.

What a tragic turn of events. Marsha's leadership in the nonprofit world will be greatly missed. She hugely impacted the Miami Valley. Her presence will be missed. Marsha - one of those special people who, having not spoken or seen someone for months or years, could take up that friendship as if time and distance weren't a separator. Jeff and family. I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. I know that Marsha and my brother, Morris, knew each other prior to his death in 2008. He thought she was one of the nicest people he knew.
