Sometime this winter, we will have a small ceremony and dedicate a plaque in his memory. It will then be installed permanently one of Daddy's favorite spots at the Zoo.
Thank you all again for being a part of Daddy's legacy...he would be very pleased to know that it will go on forever.

Daddy is rejoicing in Heaven and some day, we will see him again and we can all rejoice together.
His legacies left behind are all of the wonderful things he accomplished with his life for his family, friends and the things that he was passionate about. He loved his entire family, his wife, children and grand-children deeply. Grand-children were the apples of his eye.
Daddy worked as a docent at the Zoo for many years and he especially loved teaching people about the pandas and tracking Golden Lion Tamarins all over the Zoo. From time to time, he ran the train and proudly wore his engineer's cap and a bandana as took all of the children, young and old on their journey through the zoo.
As a District Boy Scout Leader, Daddy led and taught many about the great outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, and giving. He always wanted to be the person that made a difference. In better days, you would find him outdoors "playing in the dirt" or just enjoying everything around him. He loved nature and everything in it. His other favorite spot was at his work bench, tinkering with tools and making new out of old and then finding a way to put it to use somehow.
Walking sticks carved from tree limbs, hikes in the woods, camping, nature, Alaska, mountains any where, and of course, flea markets and finding "treasures" at the Goodwill Store.
He was a great, great man, full of love, and always a beautiful spirit, always willing to help, and believed that we should all volunteer to make a difference. Our hearts are broken, but not empty. We have all of the wonderful memories of him and the great things that he accomplished every day.
Again, we all thank you for all of the prayers sent our way.
Love and God's blessings to each of you as we celebrate his life, his many legacies and his memory...
Graciously,
The Family of
