Rose Racanelli Obituary


News Death Notice

RACANELLI, Rose age 84, of Springboro, OH; died Monday December 12, 2011 at her residence. Rose was born in Sanicandro, Italy on October 26, 1927 to Saverio and Teresa Racanelli. Rose was formerly employed as a seamstress for an interior decorator in New York City, NY, was a homemaker who loved to bake, garden, and prepare meals for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband James and her 4 siblings who all lived in Italy. Rose is survived by 3 children Anna Racanelli of Springboro, Theresa Calabro (Brian) of Springboro, and Frank Racanelli (Paulette) of NY; 4 grandchildren Catherine and Robert Calabro, Peter and James Racanelli. The family would like to thank the Critical Care Staff of Hospice of Dayton and a special thank you to Angie, Sherry, and Jenny for their extended care and kindness to Rose and the family. The family is also very grateful for the prayers and support that their many friends have provided. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am at St. Henry Catholic Church Dayton, OH on Thursday December 15, 2011 with Fr. Tom Shearer celebrant. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Rose's name to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave Dayton, OH 45420.
