News Death Notice
KISS, Irene 87 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years Joseph Kiss Jr. in 1995, and her parents Stefan & Yolanda Otilia (nee Kornis) Kolb. Irene is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law JoAnn & Don McGlone of New Paris, Shirley Teague & her friend Gary Brewer of Dayton, Margo & Gary Fisher of Huber Heights; step-daughter Darlene Meyers of AZ; one brother and sister-in-law Steve & Sylvia Kolb of Clayton; seven grandchildren Michelle Hodge, Jeff (Holly) McGlone, Christine (Stephen) Collins, Jennifer Teague, Kelly (Carl) Bolin, Gary Fisher II, Lisa Fisher; eight great-grandchildren. Irene and Joe Jr. owned and operated Hickory Bar-B-Q on Brown Street since 1962, she was a member of the Hungarian Magyar Club of Dayton and was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 13 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 5401 North Main Street, Dayton with Reverend Ralph Verdi C.PP.S. celebrant, burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road, Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dayton Diabetes Association in memory of Irene. Online condolences to her family may be made at: www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.

Dear Margo, Shirley, & Jo-Ann,
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. What a dear, dear woman who you're going to miss beyond measure. You have my deepest sympathy because I know you're never the same after you lose your mother. You are all in my prayers that you'll receive peace and contentment in this difficult time.
