News Death Notice
MINNIFIELD, Mr. Joe V. Age 47, of Dayton, departed this life Tuesday, August 4, 2009. He was a faithful member of Way of the Cross Gospel Ministries. Preceded in death by his father, Otis C. Minnifield. Survivors include his devoted mother, Naomi Minnifield; loving wife, Paula; children, Sheila Minnifield, Ruby Mabry & Debra Fisher; grandson, Kamron Fisher; 2 stepchildren, Riahanna & Pete Williams; 3 sisters, Lynda Minnifield, Margie (Cecil) Jones & Brenda Minnifield; 2 brothers, Marvin & Larry (Donna) Minnifield; special family friend, Anita Carmichael; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, Church family and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Way of the Cross Gospel Ministries, 4801 Hoover Avenue. Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment Jeffersonview Cemetery. Visitation 9 am Tuesday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. I have never had the pleasure of knowing Joe, but my prayer still go out for his family and friends. Joe was one of the most funniest brotha i know in J.T. when we saw each other we always had some funny jokes to share. Joe made us all laugh. LOL ! You are in our prayers at this moment.

I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to Joe's wife Paula and his family. I pray that you all find comfort in your souls as you grieve this unexpected loss. I knew Joe from way back when i was a kid and he alwyas was so nice to me and often referred to me as his daughter. He loved his motorcycles and i know he is in a much better place now. I love you all and find time to hug one another and tell them you love them, life is too short to wake up with regrets. God bless.
