News Death Notice

GEPHART, Raymond "Muggs" Eugene age 85, born and raised in Miamisburg, passed away Sunday, November 24th, 2013 at his home in Miamisburg. He was born January 31st, 1928 to the late Kensey Raymond Gephart and Bertha (Lucas) Gephart, in their home. His wife, Phyllis (Graham) Gephart, survives him. They were married October 24th, 1947. He is also survived by their children and spouses, Lynda and Wilbur Owens, Leann and Kevin Thacker and Lori and Steve Banks; his grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew (RaeAnn) Owens, Kurtis (Susan) Owens, Jared Thacker, Lucas (Gwen) Thacker, Donald Banks, Jessica (Peter) Stemple and his great- grandchildren, Sydney, Riley, Elijah, Jeremiah, Malia, and Julia. Muggs graduated from Miamisburg High School in 1946; he went on to work at The Parchment Paper Company, and ended his career retiring from General Motors in 1990. His greatest joys were playing football, telling stories, building model airplanes, coaching his grandsons in sports, teaching his granddaughter to catch a baseball, music, traveling the world with his wife, woodworking, and decorating the Christmas tree. A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg and officiated by Pastors Maurice Dunn and Michael Hout. Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, will serve as his final resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
