Falkville

Funeral for Ronald Cloer, 61, of Falkville will be today, August 13, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend David Gamble officiating. Burial will be with Military Honors in the Brooklyn Cemetery near Fairview. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Cloer, who died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at his home, was born November 15, 1949, in Morgan County to Lovick and Lura Cloer. He was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother; Bobby Cloer.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Olene Bailey Cloer; one daughter, Vickie Cloer of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Hoyt Cloer of Falkville; and two sisters, Geraldine Holmes of Eva and Katherine McCollum of Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Murphree, Weandell Holmes, Stanley Stringer, Lucky Bryan, Mack Dunlap and Hal Nash.
