85, of Deer Park, passed away on January 31, 2016. She was born on March 31, 1930 in Cuba to Marcelino Gonzalez and Sofia Diaz. Balbina owned The Cake Shop in Jeffersonville, Indiana and was known as The Cake Lady. She helped during the week at Peggy's Childcare in Deer Park. She is survived by her children Pedro( Pete)Jimenez, Lucy Jimenez Schmidt, and Loly Jimenez; and numerous family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Grand View Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Grand View Funeral Home at Noon, with interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park. Donations may be made in Balbina's name to National Shrine of St. Jude at www.shrineofstjude.org or 312-544-8230.

I will cherish the memories and fun Miss B and Aunt Irene shared with me at the Maxwell Center whenever I visited from San Antonio. You mother touched a lot of people and will truly be missed, but be at peace knowing she is now in the arms of our Lord.
