Louis McCall Obituary
AGE: 61 • Wilmington
Louis "Mike" McCall, 61, of Wilmington, DE passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at home.
Mike was a 1974 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. It was there that he developed his talent and appreciation for all types of music as lead guitarist and vocalist in several local bands. Mike had a love for the beach, especially fishing. He was an avid Blue Hens fan as well as all Philadelphia sports teams. He enjoyed flea markets, antique stores and had a green thumb for gardening. His greatest love was for his family and friends. Mike was retired from the DuPont Company after 25 years of service.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Louis "Lou" McCall. He is survived by his mother, Fay Murphy McCall; daughter, Kelley McCall Bryant (Gregg); granddaughter, (pride and joy) Lindsey Bryant; brother, Richard "Rick" McCall (Lisa); sisters, Linda McCall (Wayne Stewart) and Debra McCall Reed. He will also be dearly missed by his step granddaughters, Rilea and MacKenzie Duncan; eight nieces and nephews; cousins, aunts, uncles and countless friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 25th at 11am at Atonement United Methodist Church, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Friends may call after 10am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to Atonement United Methodist Church.

I was sadened to hear of the passing of Mike, he was a good friend and confidant when we were much younger, I will alwats remember him and he will be greatly missed as an important person in my formative years.

I am so sorry to hear the news Mike as a good friend and a great musician. I had the honor of playing with him for many years in Deepwater, fond memories of him and his customized van. I will be unable to attend the service on Friday, I am out of town. Wanted to send my sympathies to Fay, Linda and Rick, it has been a long time. We will miss you Mike. Maybe you and Bowie can compare note as your singing back in the day did him justice.

Just wanted to offer a note of sympathy and prayer to your family on the loss of Mike. I hope that the love of your family, & good memories of time shared together with Mike will comfort you. What a friendly, kind & loving person. Hw was always speaking with love about his family, & showing us pictures of little Lindsey. We often talked about music, & fishing! He was fun to be around, and a pretty good cook. He's gone too soon, that's for certain. We'll miss him.
