Wanda ZALEWSKI Obituary

Wanda Zalewski Age 83, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Christiana Hospital. Wanda was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Ludwig and Aniela Fedorowicz. She moved to East White Plains, NY in the mid 1940's, before moving to Blades, DE in 1988. She was a former member of St. Anthony's in East White Plains, NY, St. John's in White Plains, NY, Our Lady of Lord's in Seaford, DE, and most recently joining St. Helena's RC Church in Wilmington, DE. Wanda was very devoted to her Catholic Faith. Wanda is survived by her children, Fred Zalewski and wife, Brenda, of Paughquag, NY, Louie Zalewski and wife Eileen, of Paughquag, NY, Teri Zalewski of Milford, CT, Patti Keeler of Canoga Park, CA, Steve Zalewski and wife, Candy, of Mamaroneck, NY, Anelia Warren and husband, Mark, with whom she lived, and Tina Zalewski of Stratford, CT; 1 sister, Pauline DeMayo of New Rochelle, NY; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Her husband of 61 years, Alfred Zalewski passed away on December 31, 2002. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Wanda's Life Celebration from 9:30-10:30 am Friday, January 2, 2004 at BEESON MEMORIAL SERVICES of N. Wilmington, 412 Philadelphia Pike, 302-764-2900. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am on Friday at St. Helena's RC Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Wanda's name may be made to St. Helena's RC Church; or to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 532 E. Stein Highway, Seaford, DE 19973.
