Shirley Pandolfi Obituary
AGE: 91 • St. Petersburg, FL
Shirley M. Pandolfi, 91, of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 surrounded by family. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and everyone that had the pleasure to experience her beautiful sweet nature.
Our mom was born in 1924 in Mobile, Alabama. After graduating high school in Mobile at the age of 18, she relocated to Chicago, Illinois with her mother and best friend, Gladys Thompson, where both she and her mom worked for Dunn and Bradstreet. It was while living in Chicago that she met the love of her life, Notre Dame student, Paul Pandolfi, while visiting the campus with friends. They married May 7, 1949.
Our mom was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her true passion in life was her devotion to, and spending time with her family. She never ended a conversation with her children without an "I love you" and "be careful!"
Our mom loved traveling and especially the many cruises she shared with family. She often spoke about how special those times were. Mom could also be found with family every Saturday during football season glued to her TV chanting "GO IRISH" for her beloved Notre Dame football team.
Our mom was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Paul Pandolfi. She is survived by her beloved four children, Paul (Monica), Patty (Marc), Diane (Billy), and John (Catherine), and her six beautiful grandchildren, Becky, Danny, Jenny, Zack, Ruby and Louie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:30 pm on Saturday October 3, 2015 at St. Joseph on the Brandywine, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, Delaware where family and friends may visit from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Interment will follow Mass in the adjoining cemetery.

Still hard to believe Mrs. Pandolfi and Mr. Pandolfi are not hear with us. I miss them both and think about them always. What great people and I am so grateful to have known them.

To the entire Pandolfi family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was an amazing person and friend of mine. I spent many times having conversations with her and Mr. Pandolfi over the years. I sure do miss those times. Mrs. Pandolfi was so special to me. I am truly grateful that I knew her. She will be deeply missed and will always be remembered.
