To The Cannelongo Family:
I had the honor of caring for Mr. Marty occasionally. He always called for his beloved Tita. In the last few days I would go to his room and hold his hand and pray for him. He was speaking in Italian and calling the names of people I do not remember but Tita was clear. God Bless You All!

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Cannelongo through his granddaughter Lauren, whom I was friends when I was younger. I have few memories of Mr. Cannelongo, but those that I do have are some of my favorite.

These memories include two Christmas dinners where I was introduced to my first chickpea, fried calamari rings, little green seasoned fish, and the traditional Christmas mirror artwork. Also, picking cherries from their cherry tree and a dinner at the Three Little Bakers where I was unofficially Meghan Cannelongo for the evening as they wanted the theater to recognize my birthday, but they didn't know my last name.

It has been years since I last saw Mr. Cannelongo and the day I found out from Lauren that he'd shaved his mustache I was broken, haha.

I will always remember him as the tiny Italian grandfather who always had a hug for me
