William Markowitz Obituary

William S. Markowitz, 85 Of Folsom William S. Markowitz, 85, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2011 at home. He was the son of the late John and Anna Galashevitz Markowitz; 1 son James Markowitz and 2 sisters Anna Storiali and Stella Neiman pre-deceased him. William was a retired Upper Darby School District Maintenance Technician who liked woodworking and organic gardening. He was also a member of PASR and the American Legion. Survivors: His wife of 58 years Margaret M. Hall Markowitz; his son Dale W. (Kathy) Markowitz of Springfield; 4 grandchildren Tara, Kristen, Amanda and Matthew; 1 great-granddaughter Ava; 2 brothers Joseph of Darby and John of MD. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to William's Life Celebration Thursday eve 6-8PM at James F. Knoetgen of Morton, 746 Kedron Ave (Rt. 420) Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 AM at Our Lady of Peace Church, 208 Milmont Ave, Milmont Park, PA 19033. Interment will be private.
