William Price Obituary

1942-2015 William J. Price, 73, of Havertown, PA passed away peacefully on July 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Darby, PA, and raised in Clifton Heights, Bill was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner class of 1960. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became a US Letter Carrier, working in Philadelphia and Upper Darby then in Havertown for most of his 42 year career. After Bill retired in 2000, he spent his time working on engines, computers, doing woodwork and anything to help out a friend or family member. He was an avid Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan, but mostly enjoyed spending time in the Thousand Islands, fishing with his family and buddies. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rose Price. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hornung, and his children Steve (Kathy) Price, Michelle (Tim) Moore, Amy Duffy and Janine (John) Kalathas, his former wife, Betty Price and grandchildren Erin, Colleen, Brian, Shawn, Matt, Billy and Nicholas. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, July 13 at 10am at Vraim Funeral Home, 66 S. State Rd., Upper Darby, PA.
