Norma Coe Obituary

Norma Edna (Ruby) Coe, 84 Norma Edna (Ruby) Coe, 84, passed on April 11, 2012, , after a long illness. She died peacefully surrounded by members of her family. Norma worked in a Farmer's Market during W.W. II and graduated Ridley Park High School in 1947. After high school, she worked at a bank and married on December 11, 1948. Her life revolved around her 3 sons, husband and family. She enjoyed cooking, swimming, care giving and music. She was an active member of the Upland Baptist Church, singing in the choir for many years. Survivors: Her husband of 63 years Alfred R. Coe Sr.; 3 sons, Alfred R. Jr., John Marshall and Nelson Grant Coe; also 3 daughters-in-law Cynthia A., Jeri L. and Cheryl A. Coe; her grandchildren Andrew R., Alison R., Grant P., Jeff M. and Jenna M. Coe and Laura (Coe) Barr. She will also be missed by two brothers James Ruby and Robert Ruby and their families. Pre-deceased by her father James and mother Edna (Marshall) Ruby. Funeral service Saturday 10:30 AM at the Bateman Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA 19015. Visitation Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 AMat the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Upland Baptist Church, 325 Main St., Upland, PA 19015. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA Condolences: www.batemanfuneralhome.com
