Ruth and I became friends as new 7th graders in Glen-Nor High School. We remained close friends all thru school. She played the marimba very well in the orchestra and I played Eb Alto Sax. Over the years we kept in touch but probably not as much as we should have.
In later years, I was devastated with her illness and did visit her several times. The last time was very sad as she did not know me.
Her smile was contagious and while visiting her in one of the nursing homes, she saw me and the beautiful big smile that we knew so well was there. It was a pleasure to know her and my very best to her family. Her children always held a special place in her heart and I know the grandchildren did also. How wonderful that we could enjoy great granchildren. My prayers are with everyone and I pray that God Blesses You and brings you through this trying time. It has been difficult over the years, but now I'm comforted in knowing she is at rest with God forever.
