Joan E. Drummond

Joan E. Marvil Drummond Devoted and Loving Mother Joan E. Marvil Drummond, 57, a longtime resident of Broomall, passed peacefully Sunday, May 19, 2013 after a four year battle with multiple myeloma. Joan was born in Darby to the late Charles D. Sr. and Elizabeth McCrossan Marvil. She was a graduate of Blessed Virgin Mary and Archbishop Prendergast High School class of 1973. She was a devoted loving mother to her two children, who had overwhelming pride in both Bobby and Adrienne's accomplishments. Joan had an incredible sense of humor and even in her struggle she enjoyed laughing and reminiscing with her family and dear friends. Along with her parents she is predeceased by her brother, Robert Marvil. Survivors: Her children Robert and Adrienne Drummond and her former husband and dear friend, Joseph Drummond. She is also survived by her brother, Charles D. (Mary) Marvil, Jr., many nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers who gave Joni much needed support and strength throughout her illness. Funeral Mass: Will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013, 10am, at Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1101 Main Street, Darby, PA 19023. Viewing: There will be a viewing 9-10am in the church.
