DELAWARE — Roberta R. "Bert" Teeter, 90, of Delaware, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her Sarah Moore Home residence.
Born on July 17, 1924 in Holmes County, she was the daughter of the late James and Madge (McElfresh) Patterson. Coming to Delaware from Millersburg, Ohio in 1952, she had worked at the Adams Bank, and Flexible Company all while in Millersburg.
Bert married Rowland Teeter in 1944 and together shared 38 wonderful years until his passing in 1982.
For 20 years she and her husband operated the former Raincloud Trading Post in downtown Delaware until 1995, specializing in Indian jewelry. Together they traveled many a miles in their motor home in search of treasures for their store.
A member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the former Delaware Elks Ladies Auxiliary, she was fiercely independent. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years and enjoyed doing for others. Always kind and loving, she was a true sweetheart.
She is survived by her beloved children, Sandra (John) Kucheravy of Delaware, James "Jim" (Pam) Teeter of Cape Coral, Florida; grandsons, Jim, John, and Joshua; as well as a brother, Robert Patterson of Las Vegas.
Services will be observed privately by her family. She will be buried beside her husband in the Millersburg Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Sarah Moore Home, 26 N. Union St., Delaware, OH 43015.
