Joel Cabrera Pereda, 42, a resident of Deming, NM entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his residence. Joel was born on January 10, 1974 to Manuel Pereda Sr. and Roselia (Cabrera) Pereda in Gardena, CA. Joel enjoyed spending time with his kids and going bowling and golfing. He also enjoyed having family gatherings and cookouts. He will be truly missed by all his loved ones and friends. He is survived by both of his parents; one son, Anthony Pereda of East Los Angeles, CA; one daughter, Felicity Pereda of Deming, NM; two brothers, Jose Pereda of South Gate, CA and Manuel Pereda Jr. of Deming, NM; one nephew, Bryan Pereda; his paternal grandmother, Maricela "Chela" Pereda and his maternal grandmother, Margarita Cabrera. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 5:30 to 6pm with the holy rosary beginning at 6pm with Nena Barraza officiating at Terrazas Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 2pm at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father, Manuel Ibarra officiating. Concluding services with an interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
